Topic: Windshield washer 1952 Ranch Wagon

My car is missing the windshield washer bottle, cap and connections for hoses. I have the nozzle, bottle bracket and foot pump.

There is a bottle and cap with connections available from suppliers but they are specified only for the pickups. I assume this will work on a passenger car but would like to confirm. Can anyone post a picture of the original setup on a passenger car?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Have attached illustrations. The jar is probably the most difficult to find. However, it is a commercially available food container. Mine was cracked. I took it into a "wholesale food club" (Sam's Club, COSTCO, Price Club) and found a jar of pickles that was an exact match. Purchased the pickles, dumped them out, cleaned the jar and had a correct jar at a minimum cost.

Thanks very much c-gor. That looks close enough to the ones being sold. The jar is only 6.95 but the cap is about 35 to 40 dollars depending on supplier.

I have messed with this type before. Mac's catalogs the lid and valve..you will need the jar...they can be found on ebay. I would suggest you find a nos pump..the rubber does not hold up well

I assume that the pump repair "kit" for the truck does not work for the car style, correct?

Mine does pump air and holds a vacuum, I just don't know for how much longer it will hold up!

Here's mine..... after I forgot to put enough blue stuff in and it froze & shattered.

Fits perfect although I did have to silly-cone the lid.

Thanks for the pics Bertha. It's funny to think a pickle jar can make a perfectly usable part for a '52 Ford!
