Topic: Loose Hub Cap

I have one hub cap on my '41 that fits loosely. The other 3 are nice and tight. Before I go pounding or bending are there any suggestions?

I just put some tape on the rim where it was loose (out of sight of course) to take up the gap and get it to quit rattling on my 47 hub caps. Maybe that would work on yours.

Did you try another hubcap on the wheel to see if it was the hub cap or the wheel?

If it is the hubcap, look for a good used one to replace the one that you have.

Thanks Guys. I will first change hubcap to one from another wheel. Then if that works I guess it's time for another cap.

I hid the same thing as Old Henry did with two or three layers of my wife's favorite tool, Duct Tape. I cut it in 3/4" strips and then applied it to the cap, fits real tight.
