I need to know proper wire hook-up for gas gauge on 52 ford customline.

If you are using the Ford wiring loom, there should be a single wire that is in the taillight rear loom that has a ring connector on it. That goes under the slot screw that is on top of the gas tank sending unit. Under the dash, there are two wires, one from the power side of the loom, and the other from the tank sender. If you hook them up backwards at the dash, the gauge will read incorrectly, and you will have to reverse the connectors. Should be the same for V-8 or 6.
