What is the proper method to set the idle adjustment screws on a Stromberg 97 Carb. Does scr*w*ng them in lean out or richen the idle mixture? Thanks - Jimbo

automobile carbs are in for leaner and out for richer , you are controlling the gas flow.!!! motor cycles are opposite as you are controlling air supply. 1 turn out is just about on the money slight tweeking might be necessary 1/8 to 1/4 turn may be necessary either way to get smoothest running. ken ct.
