Topic: Mounting brake drums

I need advice about mounting the brake drums on my -41 business coupe.
I have worked with the wheel cylinders and some cleaning up but not changed the brake shoes as they seems to be good.
The problem is to reinstall the drums.
I have tested with the adjusting cams in all positions but it´s impossible to put on the drum.
I have tried to find anything about this in the green service handbook but nothing was there.

As a double check I would watch the motion of the shoes as you turn the adjusters to get the minimum adjustment just to be sure you read the instructions correctly. Remember that the adjustment at the bottom moves the shoes up and down, any chance you got them too far in one direction? Maybe a little chalk would show where the interference is located.

I am not sure about the position of the adjusting cams after turning them forwards and back many times.
Do you have any idea to know the position of the cams as you don´t see them so good behind the brake shoes.
I will take your advice about chalk.
Thanks for your answer Charlie.
