when setting steel studs in aluminum, do you use locktite , stake em'.or what? I'm setting studs in an aluminum intake manifold. And would like to clear this up. regards….tp

i would use locktite and stake them. stainless i hope.. you can still get disimilar metal corrosion .

Ford never locktited or staked them why now. I would coat threads with never-seize.Ive never seen any back out before , OMO If you double nut them when going in or out they can be removed if wanted. ken ct.

Wow! For once I actually agree with advice given by KenCT. There is NO reason you need to stake studs in to an intake manifold. None at all.
