For those of you who have restored 1933/1934 Ford's, is the under floor battery tray supposed to be painted?

Should be painted black; photo in The 1933-34 Ford Restoration Manual on page 2-30 shows the tray painted black. That is what I did on my 1934 pickup. Henry Henry Bhotto1928@aol.com
