Just joined the club, always been a flathead admirer. Don't own a car or truck with a flattie but i did build a motorcycle around one. Attached photo, hope this works...

As one who once built a Bonneville race car around a motorcycle engine, I can appreciate the thought and skill that went into your project. Beautiful!

Welcome aboard! What a different use for a Flathead. I would love to hear it

Very cool, I have a 68 Triumph Bonneville I bought when I was 19, still have it 45 years later.

Thanks for the comments, glad nobody was put off by the unusual usage of a flathead. Looking forward to taking part in the forum, there will be times when i could use some good advice on the ins and outs of keeping the V8 in good working order. The engine has been 100% reliable for the past 5 years. The bike gets used daily, and eventually it will need to be rebuilt, at which point i will very much appreciate any knowledge on getting things done correctly.

Absolutely beautiful and ingenious! Welcome aboard! Would love to see the bike in person, which part of the country are you in?

I tried to send you a private message but you're apparently not yet set up for that. My son and I will be traveling through WI to Racine in 2-3 weeks and would love to visit with you if possible. Any show and shines going on around that time you'll be at?

  Boscobill,
What a great use of the 21 Stud version of the early Ford flathead (1932-1936) I'm interested to know what you used for water pumps. The early engines had them on the top front of the heads, can't see any radiator hoses either.
What years is the engine? Babbit or insert bearings?
I'm also glad to see Boscobel WI, I was thinking maybe you had a special liking of chocolate syrup.
Paul

1934 Ford's since 1972

I bought a 66 Bonneville new on Okinawa, and sold it for more than I paid for it in late 69 to buy a panhead Harley.

Still miss the T-120R.

Still miss the panhead, and the knucklehead that replaced the pan after it was stolen.

It's a 1937 , with insert bearings, waterpumps on the block. Heads are 1935, made my own waternecks for the original head mounted pump locations, and located the thermostats there as well. She is a very reliable daily rider, gets around 27 mpg.
