I have a 35 Cabriolet, What can be done to stop a shimmy at low speeds.

Shimmy is usually the result of worn parts in the front end.

Jack up one wheel and try to move it when one hand is at the top of the wheel and the other at the bottom. Try to move the top of the wheel in and out. Any movement means that your king pin bushings are worn and should be replaced.

Try the same with your hands at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. Any movement means dag link and tie rods ends are worn.
