As far as I know, the top of the '34 cowl has (2) features that differentiate it from a '33 cowl. First, there are a parallel ribs running side to side that fade out around two round holes in the cowl top for a '34. The '33 cowl has these ribs running continuously (no fade out). Also, the leading edge of a '34 cowl top has two indetations for hood side rests, where the '33 does not have them. To elaborate further, the car is said to be a 1934. A photo of what supposed to be the car, taken in the late 1930's, shows a 1933 Ford (concave grill curve, curved hood side louvers, pointed headlamp buckets). I don't have access to the frame VIN stamp right now, but will in a few weeks. Steve
