Read on the computer that instead of wasting fuses while t/s a 36 headlight system, connect a 6v light across the fuse clips and if the bulb lights you have a problem and need to find the problem and the light will no longer be on. true or false?? Thanks

True. The light bulb in place of a fuse will work as long as there is voltage on one side and a path to ground on the other side with the fuse removed or blown.

You will still have a path to ground with the original bulb in the circuit.

I like to use a digital multimeter with a continuity check sound to trouble shoot grounded circuits, or a test light connected to the hot side of the battery.

With either tool, you can probe the circuit at different points or probe one point and disconnect wires until the ground is removed.
