On my 1934 loop style ammeter one of the loops is broken. Do both loops need to be intact in order for the ammeter to read correctly? The gauge appears to respond to loads, engine speed and third brush adjustments as it should. Is there a fix?

One loop should be OK. You can check with Baxter Ford Parts in KS for a fix or replacement. Tom
