Topic: Instrument Voltage Stabilizer

It's been suggested to me that I should have a 3 Volt instrument voltage stabilizer on my 1938 Ford Deluxe instrument cluster. Is this necessary? If so, what is it? Where does it get tied in? Where do I get one?

Don't know who's pulling your leg, none needed on the old Fords.

You would need a voltage reducer or stabilizer only if you have changed your car to 12Volts. The instruments are designed to operate on 6 volts.

Thanks for the replies. I had never heard of this before so I thought I'd ask the question.
The suggestion goes in the round file and I'll move on.
Cheers,

Al
