It's been suggested to me that I should have a 3 Volt instrument voltage stabilizer on my 1938 Ford Deluxe instrument cluster. Is this necessary? If so, what is it? Where does it get tied in? Where do I get one? Al

Never heard of one needed on an older flathead. Think those came out with the 12V system in 56,i could be wrong,you will get more replys. ken ct.

You would need a voltage reducer or stabilizer only if you have changed your car to 12Volts. The instruments are designed to operate on 6 volts. Tom
