Is there a legend for the icons, what they mean, what they stand for, ie, the different stars etc

The icons that are displayed when you enter a reply or start a new topic are just icons that can be placed on a message. As for the thumbs up or thumbs down, they can be used to relate how someone feels about a topic. Or if there is a question that someone feels is important, they can use one of the question mark icons to get attention. But, there is no set definitions to the icons.
