Just use the wiring diagram that came with your harness as a guide, if not try to get one, and double check every connection before hooking up the battery, and you should be O.K.

In addition to the advice already offered, if you have the 41-48 Ford book you will find the wiring diagrams in it. That said the connections are not difficult to make but you will be lying on your back on the floor working up around and behind the steering column and instrument cluster. Not the easiest place to get to.

I like to remove the front seat, so I have a nice area to lay in. There are just a few bolts holing the seat in, and removing the seat protects the upholstery as well as giving room to get comfortable while making the connections.

I also like to wear one of the new LED headlamps to shine the light where I need it rather than where a hot droplight bulb thinks it should be.

Thats a great idea Tom,I do have a good wiring diagram
that came with harness, mine only concern is how to get wiring threw that little grommet in firewall, would I thread harness threw hole first ,then feed wires threw grommet starting on the engine side??

Put the wires through the firewall first then slip the grommet over the wires. Slide the grommet back towards the firewall and then push the lip into the firewall hole.
