My friend has a 46 Ford V8. Would like to know your thoughts on this ignition converter, 6volt, positive ground, please.

Many thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Joan R.

Has been working fine in my '47 for years. It is running on 12v. However, they can fail without notice so I'm going to carry a spare in the trunk for trips.

The original dual point distributor is a very good one and very reliable. IMHO there is no advantage in going to an electronic distributor.

Easy to install. And worked great around town.

Ruined my trip to the 2014 Central National Meet. After 18 years of continued service, have returned to the factory points and condensor setup. It was a tried and true setup -- and Henry's designers knew what they were doing.

I'll second that providing the dist is setup correctly which is not that hard. ken ct.

I agree with the other posts. Unless you are hopping up your engine you would be throwing your money away. even then, I would stay with the original ignition, if possible. i
