Hi I have a 1941 Ford coupe that has been street rodded , and want to put the original gauges and dash back in. I have bought a new used dash and gauge cluster. The previous owner installed VDO gauges and didn't do a very good job, just cut holes in dash .My question is how can I hook up the original gauges to the 350 chevy W/ turbo 350 trans. Can I use the VDO sending units, fuel tank sending unit also ? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Joe

IMHO, you are probably more likely to find folks who can answer your questions over on the Jalopy Journal forum: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forums/the-hokey-ass-message-board.5/ If you have not posted there before, be sure to introduce yourself first.

I doubt that your original gauges will work well with the VDO sending units. The original gauges are the King-Seely current matching type and VDO does not specify how their sending unit work, only thta they are designed to work only with VDO gauges. If your car is a 12 volt system, you will need a voltage drop unit connected in series with the gauges and original type sending units wit adapters to fit the threaded openings in the Chevy engine.
