Topic: Identify parts

Been restoring my 1940 Ford Fordor Deluxe for 12 years now. When I tore it all down I tagged and marked all the parts. Well over the years of moving and etc. some of the marks faded some were lost. I have 2 parts that I can't identify and need help to find out where they belong. For many years I accomplished nothing on my restoration for various reasons. I'm sure some of you have experienced the same thing. At least I hope that I'm not the only one. Sure hope someone can help me as my wife says that she won't ride in it until I find out where these parts belong.

I've had a number of '40s, but I don't recall those two parts. Was the car apart when you bought it?

Those are not '40 Ford parts.

Thanks, I sure hope they are not for the Ford. Have worked on other vehicles so maybe that's were they came from..Don't know how they could have gotten mixed up with the Ford parts..

Could those parts been in the tool tray of the '40? if so they could've been placed there by the prior owner and been there from another vehicle he was working on. I've seen guys working on two or three projects and store parts from one in the trunk of another just to get them out of the way.
