Have you checked the service bulletins? Would they accept a reprint of the service bulletins? Would they accept the clubs restoration guidelines? Your vehicle looks great.

Nice looking commercial vehicle! I would contact both Don Rogers for his 36 knowledge and Dave Rehor because he has spent so much time in Fords foreign offices. Look for the vehicle "Serial number" stamped into the top of the frame side rail near and to the rear of the intersection of the front cross member (under the horn in your photos). The number may start with a star, then the number and finish with a star. If the vehicle was USA produced passenger vehicle, the number will start 18- followed by 7 digits. The numbers will change if the vehicle was Canadian produced. Look for your number to include letters. The numbers on the "BODY NUMBER" tag on the engine side of the firewall is place there by the body manufacturer and not Ford. You may want to look on the glass for any "Bugs" with Ford name and a dates. All of this information will not tell you a lot of details about the vehicle ownership. Good Luck

The question (s) pertaining to the lineage/documentation of the pre '49 Fords comes up on a regular basis, generally ending in the same manner..
The vintage Ford serial numbers were assigned to the engine/trans assembly at the engine plant in Dearborn by Ford, the assembly was then shipped to the respective plants for incorporation into a vehicle. The serial number was then transferred to the chassis, therefore the serial number really means nothing, because it is a sequential engine/trans number only, having no bearing on the model, style, ect., of the vehicle.
For the most part Ford did not retain any documentation for their vehicles, the same is true of the various states, which have their own departments of motor vehicles.. Prior to about 1974, many states in the US did not title vehicle's..
If you have a clear title and valid registration on the vehicle, that is about as good as it will get.

You should look on the Store section of this web site for the book that includes your car.
