Are the early V8's worth more as bone stock or with modifications? When I bought my '34 Cabriolet I intended to replace the engine with a 59AB, tranny with a '39, replace the brakes with hydrolic, and the shocks with tube type. When I got it home I decided to keep it stock, thinking that this was the "right" thing to do. So my question is if I had made the changes would it be more valuable now or was I better off keeping it stock? Bill Brown '34 Cabriolet

Value being in the eye of the beholder, it is worth more because you are the beholder. You did the right thing. A car can be modified many times, but is original only once. Alan
