Topic: Question re Values - stock or modified

Are the early V8's worth more as bone stock or with modifications? When I bought my '34 Cabriolet I intended to replace the engine with a 59AB, tranny with a '39, replace the brakes with hydrolic, and the shocks with tube type. When I got it home I decided to keep it stock, thinking that this was the "right" thing to do.

So my question is if I had made the changes would it be more valuable now or was I better off keeping it stock?

Value being in the eye of the beholder, it is worth more because you are the beholder. You did the right thing. A car can be modified many times, but is original only once.
