Topic: Fuel Gauge Sender

I've seen a number of references
that these senders can be repaired
or rebuilt. Looking for information
as to how to rebuild or who in the
flathead world rebuilds/repairs them. Ken

Baxter Ford services the fuel sender.

A quick check to see if you can clean the contacts and get it working is to connect an ohm meter between the center contact and the flange. Move the arm up and down slowly while observing the meter. If the meter fluctuates to 0 Ohms while doing this, you can probably just pry the top off and clean the contacts with Tuner cleaner. Be very careful around the wires as they will break easily and the unit willl have to be sent out for repair.
