  Hi everyone
I have not been on in awhile but here goes. I have a 1934 Ford with a flat head 8 in it. It is all restored. Lately my gas bowl has been synponing empty in a week when just sitting. I have an antisyponing line on it that I bought from a guy that was advertising in the V 8 Mag I was getting. I need to know if anyone has his name, address or phone number so I can contact him to get a new line. Also I have a bowl micro filter in the gas bowl and i need to know which way the flow goes in. is it pointed to the bottom of the bowl or the top. Thanks in advance for any help

Cant figure out what you mean by a"micro filter" in the bowl, please send pic or describe better where your trying to put this filter ?????? ken ct. Is this the correct carb for a 34 {strom # 48).

The glass bowl fuel pumps are from the late 40's. The fuel in to the glass bowl comes from the center of the top and the fuel goes to the Carb. from around the sides of the top. The late 40's Ford fuel pump is a good pump but does not look anything like the 34 fuel pump.

We hear a lot about "siphoning" and "drain back", but the fuel pump valves effectively prevent this from happening, and the carb inlet port is at or above the fuel in the bowl. If the carb goes dry while sitting, it is likely due to an internal leak in the carb, such as the power valve, or evaporation produced by remaining engine heat after running. The gas tank is vented by the proper cap, so no vacuum can develop to suck the gas from the line. The anti-siphon gadgets do siphon cash from wallets.
