Probably, the veterans on this sight are already aware of this.
I have an original Vineyard Green '34 Fordor Deluxe.
I needed to repaint the fenders and gas tank cover.
From my home computer, I ordered paint using TCPGlobal AutoColorLibrary.com.
After selecting "1934 Ford", five scanned pages appeared.
I clicked on page 1, found Vineyard Green under "De Luxe Cars". The paint code was listed as IM-974 & QDE-59.
I ordered 2 quarts of PPG Acrylic Enamel using these codes.
The paint arrived and was shot on. The color was very very very close. I was pleased. However, I did not have enough paint to shoot the spare tire cover or the gas tank cover. I needed more paint.
From a different computer (at my office), I accessed the website. It appears that instead of going to page 1 of the scanned documents, I went to page 2.Under "1934 Passenger Cars", Vineyard Green is listed as IM-1470 & QDE-59. I ordered 2 quarts again (I figured it couldn't hurt to have extra). After it arrived, I shot it on. Strange, much more yellow.
I checked back on my home computer, the auto auto fill application automatically brought up the previous entry.

It was then I realized there are TWO DIFFERENT paint codes for Vineyard Green!

Does anyone need about a quart and a half of PPG Acrylic Enamel Vineyard Green IM1470?

Cheers!

There is Vinyard Green for 1934 and a Gray Vinyard Green for 1935-36. They are different shades of green. It sounds like you got some of each.

  Perhaps, but I think not.
Both were listed under "1934 V8 sedan de luxe"
