gentleman I have a leaky hydrolic shock on my 36 ford. Where can I send it to have it worked on, or maybe have it serviced? Maybe someone might have one for sale. It's the forward L/H side (drivers side). Any info. would be greatly appreciated, And I thank all those who respond. Hal

I assume that you have the lever type (Houdaille) shocks. I don't know of any repros on the market. Unless you are showing your car, many convert to tube type shocks, which usually give better control and ride. There are rebuilders, such as Apple Hydraulic and others, but it can be expensive. It is best to rebuild shocks in pairs.

Thanks Superreal I appreciate your imput.I had a gentleman work on my 36 ford. I told him the L/H shock was leaking on the drivers side. He told me he would replace all 4 of them. I agreed. 3 weeks later he brought my car back. I checked the work he did. All ahocks were painted pretty and black. It's ironic that the same shock that was leaking is still leaking. I'm going to have to talk to him. Hal
