A friend has a 35 truck and when the doors are closed quickly {hard] they tend to lock. He does not know how to install what he calls the "remote" springs for the inside door handles. Any hints or instructions will be appreciated. Don

The door handle lock spring is probably broken. You need to take off the door panel to gain access to the mechanism. It is very difficult to replace the spring without loosening the handle mechanism. you do that by prying on the tabs on the back. See attached images
