Hi, My '40 Houdaille shocks have much more resistance in one direction than the other, can anyone tell me if this is normal? Thanks, Steve

This is normal - Houdaille's were designed as '1-way' shocks. The 'bump' stroke should exhibit much easier and lighter resistance than the 'rebound' stroke which should be quite stiff. Steve This message was edited by len47merc on 9-12-14 @ 2:27 PM

Thank you, that is what I was hoping to hear. Steve, 1940 Ford
