Hello fellow V8ers. My question today is, How do I properly remove the clutch/brake pedals from my 36 ford without cutting or destroying something?? I have tried to find an exploded view that would show something but no luck. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks

There is an exploded view on page 336 of my Green Book (Ford Chassis Parts and Accessories Catalogue). Although I haven't worked on a '36, it looks to be the same as my '40. That is, the pedals turn on a shaft and are held in place by snap rings at the ends of the shaft. These snap rings are hard to remove, but it can be done. Snap-ring pliers and safety glasses are recommended.

Thank you for the response, The 36-39 pedals, I have found since posting the question, are held together on the shaft on both ends with a double ended rivet to hold the clutch arm on. This rivet has to be ground off on one end and driven through the shaft to remove one pedal. This is tricky when everything is in the car still but can be done. I found this looking at my spare parts. Thanks again, Dale
