Topic: 1935 Service Manual Recommendation

Looking for a comprehensive service manual for my 35 coupe. Reprint is fine...Something specific to my car. I have Dick Flynn's book of tips, the EFV8 35-36 book in addition to "The Early Ford V8 as Henry Built It" publication.

What do you guys use?

Motors Manual?

Thanks in advance.

MoToRs Manual is the best in my opinion. It only goes back to 1935, which is good for you, but beginning with the 1951 edition, the early information is edited for brevity to accomodate the newer models inclusion, so for your '35, you want those early editions.

I agree with ford38v8. Back in the day, The Motors manual was the bible of most repair shops. Chiltons were also good, but I'm not sure if they went back that far. The oldest one I have only goes back to 1940. If I'm not mistaken,Ford did not issue service manuals until some time in the 1940s.

The 32-37 Service Bulletins will also be useful. They have been reprinted are are available from most V-8 Parts vendors.
