If its not too brittle, a heat gun and a gasket scr*per or putty knife will work pretty well.

Sounds like a plan. I'll try it and report back. You notice your use of the word "scr*per" was found to be offensive? Shame on you!

I've also used a small hand held torch. Work outside as the fumes are not nice.
