I'm rebuilding my 1935 Ford windshield wiper motor. My question is "What kind of Grease or vasoline or Petroleum product is needed on the fiber product inside the unit?

I agree with kenct. i used Vasoline when I did my wiper motor 16 years ago. Still works great as I get caught in the rain a few times each year.
