You need to provide more details about your problem and maybe some pictures showing us what you have or are trying to put together. The complete and correct front end assembly is critical if all parts are to fit properly. John

pops35ford- It is hard to get a truly perfect hood fit on a '35 Ford hood/grille. However, there is basically only one way to get alignment and that is with the two radiator rods. If you wish give me your direct email (PM if that is more convenient) and I will send you pictures of my '35 hood alignment. The car just turned 40K miles. Tom

Ken, I once had a complete front end sheetmetal allignment procedure for a '35 Ford. It was filed in my computer, but I am not sure how or where to find it now. Many things could affect the height of the hood. Two that I recall from a post on another website were: 1. Cushioning material under radiator support feet was too thick. 2. Recored radiator was incorrectly made higher than the original. John

This may sound flaky but, how much room do you have between the fan with a blade in the 12 o'clock position and the radiator? Tom

not much I can just about put the fan on when the radiator is installed... but that's not the problem it needs to come down on the fender, thanks anyway... ken

Ken, How does the grille fit at the bottom with the fenders. Could you take some photos of the grille from top to bottom both with the hood closed and open? Don

Ken, can't tell much from your pictures other than confirming that you do have too much gap. Also, most of the pictures seem to be the exact same shot. Maybe back away some with the camera, give it time to focus, and take some pictures of the complete hood showing where it meets the cowl and the grille. Also as Don asked a picture of how the grille is bolted in at front of fenders. Some pictures with the hood sides propped up on top of cowl so we can see how the radiator is mounted and also how the hood fastens to the top of the cowl.
