This unusual 1937 Ford Phaeton can be seen in a 1944 film titled "Swing Shift Masie". Unusual trim and a surprising instrument panel arrangement.

Same car. Look at the instrument panel. Appears to be a Right Hand Drive instrument panel with Left Hand Drive steering. Does anybody now anything about this car? Probably junked long ago.

Tony, Ann Southern made a series of movies as "Maisie". "Swing Shift Maisei was made in 1943. The car, as you see has patches on the tires, represented real life scarcity of cars in the States, possibly was from the UK, as can be seen from the fender mount parking lights.

But those are not the fender lamps that Ford used at that time.

Could those fender-mounted parking lamps have been used as wartime (i.e. 1943) blackout running lights after dark?

And what about the odd paint job? Is that some kind of army camouflage?
