Hi, My fire department is rebuilding our first fire truck, a 1936 ford. I am having some problems identifying parts for the rear wheel hub, specifically the bearings and seals. The truck is a dually. I beleive the rear hub bearing is a Timken BB-1240. Does that sound correct. Also, trying to locate a new seal as the one seal was broken during removal. I have included pictures for reference. Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Heres an exploded view of a 36 truck full floating rear end. The parts you have shown are BB part numbers and are shown on the left of the view. I hope this helps you.

Don, That is perfect, exactly what I was looking for. Now that I know what they are called, one last questions. When I look up a new style seal "BB-4245", it does not appear that the washer "BB-1124" is going to install into it. When I took the hub off, it looks like the washer and the seal are one part. With the new seals, do i still need the washer. Is the washer "nested" in the retainer ring like my picture above or are they installed separately?

I believe that the seal is seperate from the washer and is sold as two seperate pieces.
