Topic: 1935 Ford Cabriolet ran hot - Update

About 10 years ago I bought a 1935 Ford Cabriolet. All it did was run hot. Did a lot of things to it to make it run cooler. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. my car had a 1936 LB engine that I had rebuilt but it still ran hot. I finely put a 1948 flathead in. It is great. It does not run hot. It sure is fun to drive it now.

I also have the opportunity to purchase the engine, transmission, frame, front & rear end, along with the steering and 6 wheels for a 1935 ford. What would be a fair price. Told it ran good when he took it out to put modern engine in.

Again, thanks for your help over the last 10 years.

dicky, so... a rolling frame and running gear complete? You were told it ran, but cannot verify that claim. Without that verification, the value is drastically lower. I'd say $1500 tops, depending on condition. More like half that would be fair for most rolling with unknown mechanical condition.

Do you still have the LB engine

I do still have it. I thought it would go with my 1935 Cabriolet when or if I ever sell my car.
