Thanks for the advice Superael have finally removed the regulator which is quite a big component and will weld the broken teeth up then cut the grooves for the teeth. Many thanks again from New Zealand. Mike.

You are welcome, Mike. The "knuckle" regulator for the rear quarter windows is particularly difficult to repair and adjust. I certainly enjoy my convertible, but it took several years of attention to get it "just" right. Greetings from Iowa, USA.
