Oddities between years, through the year and between different models or countries intrigue me.. Found this on eBay and am curious about several things. http://www.ebay.com/itm/221448463659?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648 Obviously the casting could be drilled for either the 3 or 4 bolt carb..Thant makes sense, But the machined flat and hole up front on the right side intrigue me Doubtful they would go to that much work for a fill tube or a road draft tube.. Both of which appear to be missing.. Anyone knowledgeable about this and can explain it?? Also the two round bosses in front of the carb mout are curious to.. Help support the generator??

In my Canadian Parts book, this comes up, but is just described as a "cover"
There are pictures of it related to the PCV option available from 39 to 44
on 85 and 95 HP engines. Using the casting nos. in the pic it relates to the part no in the book. The strange thing is there is no other part no listed for the "cover" for 85 and 95 HP passenger engines. My '40 Coupe has a cast iron manifold but the book does not mention that. Its like there is a page missing(but there isint). From the pictures it is definatly the PCV option manifold.
