Can a 2post car lift be used on a 35Ford without damaging the brake rods or anything else I want to have new mufflers installed and the garage has only 2post available? Thanks for the help. s

As long as the garage knows how to set up the hoist, there shouldn't be a problem. We have two in our shop, and they are the best available.

Most lifts have flip up "risers" that can be positioned directly under the chassis and won't cause any damage. Make sure they use them and if you can, stay with the mechanic until the car is in the air and if you aren't happy with what you see, find another shop!

With my 2-post lift for my '34 I adjust the arms to where they are below the frame only just between the frame kick ups. I did have to add a short (~6"long) piece of 2x4 at each lift point to clear the running boards.
