How does the square lock shaft on the door lock attach to the lock lever on the inside of the door?

Are you asking how this lever attaches ? Slotted oval head screw if you are .

Yes. Does the screw go into the square shaft? Mine is not drilled or tapped.

OK - I guess I will drill it and tap it. Do you know the screw size? I would guess a #4x40.

Only 33's and the 34 roadster here at home as we are still in winter mode and none of these have them . Cannot help with the screw size today - sorry .
