Topic: Brake energizers for 35 Fordor

I attempted to post this question last week, but it doesn't appear to have made it, so if this does appear twice, I apologize.

I'm redoing the mechanical brakes on my '35 Fordor, and would like to improve the brakes by installing a set of energizers/floaters. The floaters seem to be available in two different types - floating wedges (i.e. Flatheadted) or something that looks like it could be similar to the star wheel assembly that has been used on hydraulic drum brakes for many years. Does anyone have a recommendation on which type works better? Is the one that looks like a star wheel, actually a star wheel like on typical hydraulic drum brakes?

If I use the star wheel type, do I adjust them by reaching thru the threaded hole that previously held the adjuster wedge?

Thanks for whatever thoughts you send to me.

Paul

Thank you. The problem seems to be that I simply hadn't figured out how to navigate in the forum. I think I have it now.
