Do all the later flat head crankshaft have oil slingers? Don't remember one when taking the 59a engine apart, but all the parts show a slinger. Used a slinger from another c/s but had to make the center hole bigger so it would slide over the c/s. Now there is a slight gap between the timing gear and slinger. Another puzzle for this shade tree mechanic. Thanks for the help

I see now the gap is caused by the unflat slinger which is the way its made.
