A good reference to have if you intend to do your own work. Here's one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motors-Auto-Repair-Manual-1935-1948-Motors-Vintage-keep-em-rolling-with-motors-/191102953454?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item2c7e9fa7ee&vxp=mtr

You can also find them at swap meets.

Using 4dFord's website I purchased a Motors Manual for $20. It is in surprisingly good condition. The cover was dirty but cleaned up nicely. Other than saving postage vs finding one at a swap meet I think I got a good deal. At the time I looked at the site there were 5 listed in various condition.

Motors Manuals are fairly useful. They give a lot of practical information. I'd steer clear of Chilton's. While useful in their own right, Chilton's have always been aimed at the "backyard" mechanic more so than a professional and as such are not as inclusive in "useful" information.

In my opinion, even more useful than a Motors or Chiltons are the series of Ford booklets published between 1942 and late 1947. They are the most detailed of any of the above. These can be readily had on eBay, and the other typical sites.
