Hope you are well, u got any idea a rough age of this sign by the design of the shocks on it?

  Your sign would be no older than 1948, by the shocks pictured.
If made of composition board, no newer than 1950.

  Al, why would this sign be no newer than 1950? Ford sold the old style shock until it was no longer profitable to stock and sell them. Inquiring minds want to know how you date this sign.

  Tom, After 1950, the sign would have been metal, as transitioning from wartime shortages. Composition board would have been used in 1948.

  Now that "automobilia" such as signs, oil cans, etc, are bringing big bucks,it didn't take long for the fakes to appear, many of which are carefully "aged" to appear genuine.
