Topic: measurement for 1934 ford doors

I would like to know the width of a 1934 3 window door at the belt line verses a cabriolet door. Are there any differences in width. I own a 1934 huppmobile model w417, from research the body is a cabriolet with a 3 window roof welded on it, i have no doors what would work the best for a replacement, can the car be fitted with 3 window coupe doors as cabriolet doors are really hard to find, any answers out there, thanks for the reply

I don't have a 3w or a 2d door to measure but the pic is a 34 cabriolet and as you can see it is just a tic over 36" measured under the belt line . Doors off a 3w or 2d for that matter are the " long " doors . Doors off a 5w or 4d are " short "and cabriolets are in between . Another issue is the cabriolet doors are " fatter " and have 3 hinges on the lower part . Cab only on that . I can take pics of whatever angle you need on cab , 5w or 4d doors . Well roadster also but that is a completely different bird there .

david J\ thank you for your reply, It appears to be a cabriolet body, Do you know where reproduction doors would be in supply for 34 ford cabriolet. thanks again for your assistance.

Hard to say what you have going on without pics . On the reproduction door question Steves Auto Restorations [ SAR ]in WA was making outer skins and top repair panels for 33-34 cabriolets . The main framework is unique to a cabriolet so that will be a problem also . Hinges are also different . Again pics would go a long way in figuring out what you need .
