Was wondering if anyone here, new Jim Brown, from Jenks, Oklahoma? The reason Iam asking, is I found his name written on the back of a 34 coupe seat. Thanks for any info, just trying to find some history, on this car. Thanks...Ed

You couldn't have picked a more common name to get curious about. Here goes .... In 1920 there were two "James Brown" in Jenks, Tulsa County Oklahoma. James "R" Brown who was born 1879 in Arkansas who was living in Jenks with his 10 year old son named James "E." Brown who was born in 1910. Then there was an indian named James "S." Brown was born in 1920 (he died in 1988). So your guess is as good as mine .... I'd say the father was too old by then. How old do you think he was to have wanted to write his name on that 1934 car seat (at some later date)? maybe 20 or 30? AND there were a bunch of other James Brown's living in Tulsa County as well during the 1900's. At least you can be reasonably sure the signature is real. Too bad he didn't note his middle name. BUT for the next owner, you should add your name on the seat with a date and location.

Thanks for all the info, This is what i know about the car. It was a ground up restoration, that was done quite well. When seeing the name, an the date 1985, on the seat back, i'd say this is when, the car was completed. After looking over the car from top to bottom, it must have been an older V8 club car. Was hoping, that someone here, would remember the name.
