I'm in the (now frigid) northeast and park my car in a small single-stall garage with the battery near the garage door opening in case I need a "jump" on a cold morning. After dark I'm concerned I'll damage the car when backing in. I want to add a backup light to my '47 coupe. Ive seen glimpses of a single small light in a few photos, looking like a cowl light - a small chrome light body on a short vertical stem, mounted on the bumper "pan". I don't see any "standard" back-up lights of this vintage but could install a manually switched flush-mounted "parking light" on the base of the trunk body using the type I have on the front of the car. They are relatively inexpense. Cowl lights seem to have a curve formed in their mounting stem, are expensive and seem to be sold only in pairs. Does anyone have an idea and sourse ?

As you said, a simple driving light will do. Old Henry .... you've sure been very busy with this ! I remember those old backup lights. I'll bid on the light. Needs a bunch of personal and up-close attention to save it, just like our cars - a good rainy day (or two) project. I greatly appreciate you help and I'll write your name inside the light casing for prosparity!
