Topic: 37 carb jet size

Anybody know what sizes should the jets be in a 37 carb?

Any kind of a chart available?/
Thanks Don

The standard (sea level;) size is .051 For altitude of 5000-10,000 ft, .049 High altitude, 10,000-15,000 ft, .047 This is based on the 59A carb, the standard "service" unit. If you have a different carb, post the number, and I'll compare it with my chart. This chart is from the Ford issued repair manual. If anyone wants a copy of the jet chart, I can scan and post it here. If you have a Stromberg 97 carb, the jet size is immaterial, as the carb uses an "emulsion tube" system, which requires special tools and equipment to service.

  I have a "97" EE-1.
I suppose it is the correct one.

Jet size on a 97 is .045 and Power valve # 65 as Supereal said special tools are needed to change them. I have the jet tool and you can make the PV tool your self, very simple on that one. And can explaine how to remove the emultion tubes for cleaning over the cell phone. ken ct 1-203-260-5945.

OK, thanks Ken and Supereal. I believe thats what is in the carb thats on the car. I have the jet tool, and other.
Disparaity came as I was refering to "A.E.A.tune-up system" specifications. I had a extra carb to use as a show and tell and it had the wrong jets in it. Made me start to wonder which was correct.
Thanks again.....
