I just purchased two 8BA motors plus a three speed (my first flatheads) I found in a local junk yard by chance. I am new to the flathead world and am trying to learn all I can. This is the first of many questions I have. When I began to unassembled to worse of the two I found this tag on the front of the motor, can anyone shed some light on it for me.

That tag was put on rebuilt engines by dealers "authorized" by Ford. As you will be rebulding this block if it magnafluxes OK, the tag means that it has been previously rebuilt by professionals, and carries a warranty. The bad news is that the warranty has long since expired! Alan

Well that sucks about the warranty haha. Is there any rarity or desirability to these tages?
