I may be a little slow but where do you find an explanation of the Icons?

I believe the various icons are to be used at your discretion. This is my take: New Discussions automatically get the little document icon because it is pre-checked... the thumbs up and thumbs down signify your approval or disapproval ... the triangle with the exclamation usually means an error ... the dialog balloon with asterisk might mean impt discussion ... The question mark means you have a question needing answers... there are two of these. And the others are just for emphasis or attention. You can choose to use them -- or not. It's up to you. I chose the lightbulb just for fun. Margaret C.
