How can you tell if a used grill is an original or a used repo? My coupe has a repo I believe made in Argentina and I'm looking for an original. I would like to be more knowledgeable about the grill before I bid on something.

The shape of the crank hole is usually the tip off. Most repos have a flat tin crank hole that is spot welded on the grille.

Long time since I had a 36 [ front doors aren't on backwards ] but on the two I did have the grilles were stamped out of one sheet like a 33 or 34 . Pretty sure there is a fabricated type original also but I have no experience with them . No mistaking the one piece type and I think they look better anyway . JMHO of course .
