Topic: These 50 cp headlight bulbs - flanged

I'm still trying to find the correct number for 50-32 cp headlight bulbs, '35 thru' '39, flanged. There are several different adaptations of these bulbs, the difference being the relation of the two contacts to the flange, which has the three holes, offset.
Re-pro bulbs are not as good as the the old originals but which ones fit... which ones do not. All fords are the same. Book says 2530 I think, but that's for the 32-32 cp bulb. There is an aftermarket bulb marked 2531, this might be the 50 cp, correct one... maybe.. i'm guessing here.
Anybody have a list of bulbs and cars...?.. so we all can find out?.

I think that the 1031 bulb is the one that you are looking for.

One of the head light bulb problems I encountered a couple of years ago.. Is that the '39-39 bulbs are whats called "pre-focused" they are made to work with their respective lens prisms..
Check with Ron Francis, he has bulbs that he calls Bright Bulbs, they worked great in my '39..

Warren, You want a 2530 bulb. It has a 50 cp high beam and a 32 cp low beam. You might also try an 1170 tail light bulb. It has a 21 cp brake filament and a 6 cp running filament. See image below.
